Abandoned thus by their gods, they stand together in flesh
but in their spirit they are mortified by the emptiness around
They can smell their death approaching from the depths
and the land they dreamt of prosper on, only but a mirage

It is a vast darkness that has been laid upon their petty souls,
they watch as all the lights vanish underneath the brine sea before them
and in the pitch-black sky two blinding moons appear
to light the final act of deviance, then only sleep

When the answer is to die, the questions disappear, and mind slams into the thought of loved ones being forever lost
they struggle to divert the ship, refusing to admit that they have been seized by arms, tentacles of a godless creature
